Trench lining is a system created to respond to various construction site needs:
1) safety, the system conforms to excavation job injury prevention regulations
2) practicality, the implementation stages are done with just the excavator and two support workers
3) productivity, this type of system, in comparison to the traditional wood framework, is more advantageous both in terms of time (assembly and disassembly) and usage.
Therefore, with just a few accessories, a system can be created that is suitable to the various construction site needs, guaranteeing security, productivity and flexibility. Trench lining is useful in guaranteeing not only excavation safety but also the stability of the surrounding land where there could be buildings, streets or railways. The width of the trench is determined by the dimension of the pipe that needs to be inserted and the lateral space that needs to be left for backfilling and subsequent compacting. On the other hand, the length of the tube determines the length of the trench. Shoring is a system made up of a couple of opposing metal panels connected by telescopic spacers.

The light, not self-sinking series is recommended for consistent terrain, with no surrounding buildings, far from busy roads and with limited ground settling. The pre-assembled box is placed in the excavation. It is lifted using 4 chains attached to rings that are available for lifting. The length of the chains is equal to the length of the panels.
In cases where the ground is friable, sandy, or in the presence of groundwater, the self-sinking shoring is used: a 1.25 m pre-trench is dug and the pre-assembled box is lowered into the excavation. During this stage, the workers must not be in the pit. The excavator bucket is used to alternately press on the panels on the two sides of the box. The operation is repeated until the bottom of the pit is reached.
